UPDATES on AFC

Monday
-Finalization of the flow of the clip. (working on Idea 2, Musical montage of food.)
-Trial film of the motion of the frying pan, cherry tomato and broccoli

Tuesday
-Filming on broccoli, cherry tomato, capsicum and chili padi
-Keying of the film footages

Wed-to do list
-Film motion of the frying pan and cross section of the capsicums(Morning, before lunchtime)
-Start animation


WED AND THURS

PREPARATION FOR THE SHOOT
-We bought the ingredients that we'll be using for the shoot,
-Broccoli
-Capsicum (Green, red and yellow)
-Cherry Tomato
-Chili padi (small spicy chili)
and borrowed/brought other stuff like frying pan, knife, Photography Studio,Video camera, DSLR camera,lights ETC.

SHOOTINGS

We cut and diced the capsicum because we want to use for the tossing of the food.




Besides filming the movement of the pan tossing,we also filmed some ingredients rotating in 360 degrees.









Unfortunately, the videos on the tossing of the pan and food is a failure. Thus, we didn't use them and animated the movements ourselves.

PS: there's actually alot more photos for the process, but its accidentally deleted from the data.=(

COMMENTS on AFC branding's ideas

Idea- Musical montage of food.
-make the food (eg.broccoli) move more instead of using still images.
-use different perspective of the food for more variation and form the circle of the logo
-use more fruits instead of brown food
-not so orderly

Idea-Great food is meant to be shared.
-Make the perspective constant for the last scene

Thoughts on ASIAN FOOD CHANNEL!

THOUGHTS

Asian Food Channel (Channel 69 on cable TV)

I find that AFC is actually a very entertaining channel, be it whether the person likes to cook or not. It has all the most entertaining food related series and the different varieties really kept me entertained. Putting aside the passion and love for cooking, the channel does not only show and teach HOW to cook, but it also explores different cultures in different countries. Moreover, It teaches us how to lead a better lifestyle.

Current AFC Ident

Actually, i really like the current AFC Ident. It really brings out the life in everyday lifestyle in cooking and eating by using video footage of people, for example, eating sushi, selling durian, etc, then they reveal the logo.
